Burston prime with incarnon is my favorite primary for all content, no matter the level Burston needs a bit more time, but slap on shred, some 60/60 mods, and maaaybe a decent riven, and it's surprisingly good! Definitely viable, but you need good mods and forma it a few times.

I personally enjoyed using the burston prime, it has a great feel, kickass model and a sweet reload animation, but the burst.

Alternatively, it needs a channelled ability, and while we can put gloom on anything, i'd say it's. The right riven, having both multishot and critical damage is an amazing riven Especially since the burston saw its 2nd life gifted to it in the shape of an incarnon Burston prime is permanently unvaulted, and the incarnon upgrade makes it an awesome bullet hose (personally, i prefer it over the braton)
Boar prime is also unvaulted until the end of the year, and has a great incarnon upgrade (though i think strun prime is better, but that's vaulted).
Even if you give burston prime a riven that makes his incarnon form have stats of 259.8% crit, 6.6x crit damage, (2,254.4*2) base damage with the same elemental damage as the phenmor without a riven (even having one mod slot missing), phenmor will still outdamage the burston prime incarnon. Burston prime's base damage is too balanced for that (impact, puncture and slash are too close to each other) Viral is still decent, but damage types with better damage multipliers towards the faction you're playing against (or grineer, since that is the tankiest fraction) will make your life easier and your damage better. I don't think this is an optimal build for its burston incarnon form
