Chiaki4deck setup firstly, download and extract the latest version of chiaki4deck here My only problem is i cannot figure out how to map the ps button or the touchpad to any of the steam deck buttons when i am playing remotely. Once downloaded open chiaki.exe and follow these instructions below to register a new console

Test the connection to ensure it's working before changing any settings once you've confirmed it's working, make your changes to the settings. Yesterday i went through and got remote play to my ps5 set up using chiaki and it also works great, i love being able to play my ps5 from wherever my son wants to be that given day So the chiaki github got archived after i found the solution for some problems and after deciding to make the easiest guide to get it to work so i'm posting it here
(and for anyone who doesn't know chiaki is basically a non official arguably better remoteplay (at least as far as i'm concerned)that's works on practically any platform even windows 7).
Dunno if anyone else has this problem, but chiaki doesn't seem to wake my ps5 properly I do have the wake packet port forwarding and it does work with the phone app off network, which is how i have to wake my ps5, then chiaki works as intended. The streaming using this unofficial chiaki looks amazing, feels native Also could not get hardware decoding to work with the official 2.2.0 version that was released after this unofficial one, which is flawless.
I have successfully compiled chiaki for apple silicon and windows with added support for adaptive triggers, haptic vibrations emulation, color correction, hardware decoder support The result is a seamless gaming experience, with even astrobot being fully playable. Moreover, i have a guide for using chiaki with the steam deck in general and specifically setting up and using chiaki in the best way possible using the chiaki4deck flatpak with detailed instructions on the chiaki4deck site. I'm usually pretty well versed on tweaking/modding software (did quite a bit with switch/psp's in the past)
But i cant find a way to improve performance on chiaki (streaming from my ps5)
Chiaki for android is not going to be updated any more, and i found it to be a subpar experience compared to psplay, which has more options I would suggest to try that instead Its a free app but most of the cool features are behind a paywall, but at $5.99, it's worth it, imo. Hi, i found two very good chiaki builds each with some working features
Maybe someone can merge these two builds to build an ultimate chiaki build with all features like motion, trigger effects, haptics and touchpad. I got my steam deck last weekend and so far it has been working great
