Found a folder in program files/common files called designer with msaddndr.dll inside I am looking for template\layout also, why can't i see them, The common files folder holds common folders and files of different apps

These files are shared files so that other apps/programs can use these files and their functions. The directory i have is c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\web server extension\15\bin Any files provided by this application for use by the modules (apis, libraries, frameworks, shared resources etc) would then be found in a 'common' folder

Windows installer cache (by default, c:\windows\installer) is used to store important files for applications that are installed using the msi windows installer The cache should not be deleted manually Rest assured, the microsoft shared folder does contain files and folders for an office installation, there is nothing wrong with the files and folders in that folder. The reason i do take a look now and then is because sometimes a program i have uninstalled will leave behind a folder in the common files
So i'll manually delete it. I noticed that the file msaddndr.dll in the folder c:\program files (x86)\common files\designer was only 19kb in size After the office repair, the file was 98kb in size again and vb6 was able to load all addins again and also create addin projects. Open the folder c:\program files and delete the erlxx.0 folder, if present
Xx is the version number, which depends on the installed nprinting release
You may not be able to delete this folder because the os shows an error message saying that there is a file in use by another process. I have installed sp designer 2013
